Production Log Week 5 (Deadline)
I had not faced any challenges throughout this week but some of the voice-overs were cut off so I had to re-record them which was not much of a problem. A technical error I faced was when I had rendered out the documentary and some of the parts at the end were cut off. To overcome this I had to ensure everything was selected and on the timeline so Final Cut can render it.
There will be no aim to complete next week as the task will be completed.

Production Log Week 4
Production Log Week 4 :
This week I will be editing my documentary together for the final version. I will be using Final Cut Pro on the iMac to edit together my documentary from start 'till finish. I have also started doing my graphics overlays for my documentary to further make it look professional and pleasing to the eye. Below are some graphic overlays which I have done which will be present in the Documentary itself. Final Cut Pro is a program which is used to edit clips and also very easy to use. This means editing will be easier and less time consuming.

Voice Overs where recorded on my Phone as it was convenient and I had it on me at all times. Also the quality was very good and was easy to transfer from phone to computer within seconds. The voice overs will guide my audience throughout the documentary itself also known as "The voice of God." Also as the voice overs where done on my phone it was easier to use than the one provided by the school as it had to be done during lesson while on the other hand the voice overs on my phone could be done during school hours or even at home which meant I did not have to borrow any equipment for evening use.

There were no safety precautions to over come as no equipment was taken out and everything was done in lesson apart from the editing which had to be done at home in my own time. The reason why I had chosen to edit at home was because I can spend more time on editing rather than the conventional 1 Hour 10 Minutes in lesson and also I will have access to all websites (School blocks websites such as converters etc).

Production Log Week 3
Production Log 3:
Throughout this week I have been filming extra parts that had to replace the London Scene/Shots as I did not get the chance to film without the Skatepark being crowded with people. I had to figure out a way to fill the parts in so that my documentary flowed well.
Also I had to cancel my alleged 3rd interview as the University did not reply and others did not have any teachers/professors available for the interview to be held. Also the quotes which I asked the Prime Minister and Department of Education where to replied to with an answer and were referred to pre-made forums/links which made it more difficult to fill in the Narrative Arc. Above is the image of a reply which I got for requesting a quote from the Prime Minister which was referred to the Department of Education.
The constraints I faced during this week was that most of my documentary had to be cut out due to the fact that I did not receive any reply from the contacted E-Mails which made it more difficult to find out more information. Also my 3rd Interview got cancelled from the Narrative Arc (No professors available).
To overcome these constraints I had to go back to the drawing board and find out more ways to get information from sources into my documentary. It was pretty hard at first but I remembered that I can film a Graphics Lesson to see what happens during one. This means I need to go into the graphics department and request filming a lesson and speeding it up to a point where 45 Minutes is around 15-20 seconds.
We did not have any problems regarding safety as I new my local area well and places in my area which not to go to while in possession of expensive equipment.

Production Log Week 2
Production Log 2:
This week for filming I went out in my local area and filmed my school shots where I walk into the school and interview an Ex-Art student and a Graphics Teacher. The reason why I chose the Graphics Teacher is because firstly she correlates with the topic I am researching and also she is a professional at Graphics.
Here is the shot where I am walking towards the school to see the Graphics teacher to ask my Interview questions. The questions I will be asking the Graphics Teacher will be :
1. What do you think about Nicky Morgans statement regarding art?
2. What skills would you need to take graphics as a subject?
3. As a teacher what do you think makes students not take graphics as a subject?
4. Do you think that parents think that there is not money or even careers involved in regards to the subject?
5. How do you think we can persuade younger generations to take the subject?
I chose these questions because I wanted to find out more about the subject being niche and why not many people take it. Also it will help me find a more conclusive answer to my documentary title of "Why Graphics is a niche subject?"
I did not have any contsraints regarding the filming of this section of the documentary as it was just outside school and during school hours the roads are quiet and there will be no distractions which could possibly halt our filming. Also as it is the school I am fimilair with the surroundings where I can film.
I did face any other problems such as equipment breaking or weather as everything had safety precautions before we filmed a shot. For example I ensured everything next to me or next to the cameraman as he was filming the shots to ensure no one will take it. Also I checked the weather on the particular day to see if it was raining or too cold to go out to film luckily none of these happened and we got the shots completed.

Production Log Week 1
Production Log 1:
This week I went out to London South Bank to start the Introductory section of my documentary. Here I introduce the topic title which I will be finding out the answer to throughout the 5 Minute Documentary.
We filmed around the South Bank to introduce the documentary as it has a lot of Graffiti around the area and I thought it would be a good start for the topic I have chosen to do.
I chose London as a location because of the sceneries and mainly because of the graffiti section along the south bank. Also as London has a lot of restaurants I wanted to do little shots of the all the logos and talk about how Graphics is all around us.
Also I planned on doing vox pops during the filming process but unfortunately it had started raining so I aborted doing vox pops which was a massive let down for my documentary itself. This is where I have filmed the introduction. I think the graffiti portrays graphics well as graphics requires artistic skills in order to take it. I have also done establishing shots which shows the area around where I will be introducing the topic. Also I wanted to show a lot of colours in my documentary as it is based on graphics and art so it makes the audience more engaged.
There was a big constraint regarding the filming of this section as the skate park was occupied and it was too loud to film as the camera didn't pick it up. Also there was a massive crowd which were talking and watching the skaters do stunts and the echo did not help on top of that. So I had to alter this section by not doing it in the specified area and had to do it elsewhere.
