Production Log Week 4

Production Log Week 4 :

This week I will be editing my documentary together for the final version. I will be using Final Cut Pro on the iMac to edit together my documentary from start 'till finish. I have also started doing my graphics overlays for my documentary to further make it look professional and pleasing to the eye. Below are some graphic overlays which I have done which will be present in the Documentary itself. Final Cut Pro is a program which is used to edit clips and also very easy to use. This means editing will be easier and less time consuming.

These where created using Adobe Photoshop CS5 on school computers. To manage time I was editing at home which was easier as I was familiar with everything and I could concentrate more. In order to maximize time during Media lessons I will often get on with graphics overlays or voice overs which will be used throughout my documentary. This meant all the time I will be occupied with work for my documentary.

Voice Overs where recorded on my Phone as it was convenient and I had it on me at all times. Also the quality was very good and was easy to transfer from phone to computer within seconds. The voice overs will guide my audience throughout the documentary itself also known as "The voice of God." Also as the voice overs where done on my phone it was easier to use than the one provided by the school as it had to be done during lesson while on the other hand the voice overs on my phone could be done during school hours or even at home which meant I did not have to borrow any equipment for evening use.

Throughout this week I have not had any constraints which was a relief as it was our deadline week. All the shots where filmed, the graphic overlays where done & the voice overs where completed. This meant I can just focus on editing the documentary and start adding in all the bits and bobs which would finalize my documentary.






There were no safety precautions to over come as no equipment was taken out and everything was done in lesson apart from the editing which had to be done at home in my own time. The reason why I had chosen to edit at home was because I can spend more time on editing rather than the conventional 1 Hour 10 Minutes in lesson and also I will have access to all websites (School blocks websites such as converters etc).
